Why does LULU.com require me to have a LULU account? LULU is our official e-commerce partner who processes all of our download sales. In order to complete the checkout/purchase process, you need to establish a LULU account first (if you do not yet have one). This only requires you to submit your name, email, and desired password -- a very quick process. Having a LULU account benefits you in many ways. Beyond the usual features like checking order status, your LULU account also serves as a convenient backup solution for your purchases. In the event that you need to re-download your purchased item for whatever reason, with your LULU account, you can always log back into LULU and find all of your purchased products available in your LULU account "Library" -- ready for you to re-download anytime if needed. Can I order multiple items? Yes both through our site & through our Lulu storefront. What are your shipping and handling rates? Since all of our products are printed & shipped off-site it is necessary to charge a nominal shipping & handling fee. The rate is $4.00 per book up to 5 books. Any order consisting of 6 or more books is $25.00 Please note that these rates are for orders placed through our website only. Orders placed through Lulu and other sites may charge a different S/H rate. Who/what is Lulu? Lulu is the web's premier independent publishing
marketplace. The company was founded by Bob Young. Here is a brief
description of Bob Young that appeared in the June 3, 2006 edition of the
Raleigh News & Observer. He stepped down from the CEO job later that year but remained chairman until April 2002. Today, he has no formal ties to the Raleigh-based company, although he remains a major shareholder -- and a multimillionaire. Young believes Lulu can become a much bigger company than it is today. Young originally envisioned that Lulu would mostly produce e-books that people could download to their computers. But e-books account for just 10 percent of Lulu's sales today. Lulu has been churning out an average of 167,000 books per month so far this year -- compared with 122,000 in its best month last year. Revenue last month totaled about $1 million, up from $300,000 in May 2005. For more information on Lulu visit www.lulu.com . When can I expect to receive my book? All of our books are printed on demand. Your order will be processed immediately and you can expect to receive your order within 7-14 days if you ordered online. If you mailed in your order please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Are there other places such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble that I can buy your products. Many of our guidebooks are offered through regular outlets. A few retailers may carry them in their stores but most offer them through their online service. Check with your favorite book site for our products. |
